Nerium (Oleander)

Nerium oleander

Reference Link →

An evergreen shrub with narrow leaves and clusters of pink, white, or red flowers, valued for its toughness in heat and poor soil. All parts of the plant are toxic if eaten, so keep it away from pets and small children. Its flowers are visited by some bees and butterflies for nectar, but because the whole plant is toxic it offers little value as a host plant, so its ecological role is best treated as a hardy accent rather than a core habitat plant.
